Please be advised that a power outage is currently affecting the northern section of Monroe Township.
At this time, the traffic signal at the intersection of Spotswood Englishtown Road and Texas Road is not operational. Monroe Township Police Officers are currently directing traffic at the intersection, and temporary stop signs will be installed as soon as possible. Motorists are urged to slow down, use extreme caution, obey all directions from police officers, and be prepared to stop as they approach the intersection.
According to JCP&L, approximately 394 Monroe Township customers are currently affected by the outage. JCP&L has been notified, and utility crews have been dispatched to investigate the cause and restore electrical service as safely and quickly as possible.
