Motorists traveling in the Bluffton area should expect delays due to an emergency utility repair.
The Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority (BJWSA) has closed the right westbound lane of U.S. Highway 170, just south of the U.S. Highway 278 interchange near Tractor Supply, 40 Cecil Reynolds Drive, as crews conduct an emergency sewer line repair.
The lane closure is effective immediately. At this time, it is unknown how long the closure will remain in place.
Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling through the area, reduce their speed, watch for workers and equipment, and allow extra travel time until repairs are complete.
