| On July 4, 2026, at approximately 11:42 p.m., Fillmore patrol deputies, along with the Fillmore Fire Department and Ventura County Fire Department, responded to a report of a fire at Fillmore High School. Patrol deputies and fire personnel quickly arrived at the location and observed construction material on fire. The construction material was being stored in a campus parking lot and did not pose a threat to any structures at the school. Fire fighters quickly deployed hose lines and spent several hours battling the fire, successfully bringing the fire under control. As a result, the fire caused approximately $120,000 in damage. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
