LOCATION: Mountain View Road / Colusa Road, El Mirage
SUSPECT: Danny Kirkman, 66-years-old, Resident of Little Rock
VICTIM: Confidential, Adult Male
SUMMARY: On Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 5:46 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley station responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Mountain View Road and Colusa Road in El Mirage after receiving information that a male subject, later identified as Danny Kirkman, had fired a gun towards the victim before fleeing the area in a Polaris RZR.
Sheriff’s Aviation (40K) located the RZR and observed Kirkman holding a firearm. Deputies arrived at the scene and safely detained Kirkman.
Through investigation, it was determined Kirkman and the victim had been involved in an argument before allegedly firing two rounds from a handgun at the victim. During a search of the RZR, deputies located two handguns.
Deputies authored a search warrant for Kirkman’s RV he had been camping in, where an additional shotgun was located.
Kirkman was arrested and transported to the High Desert Detention Center where he was booked for attempted murder.
