The City of Jerome is advising motorists and area residents of a scheduled controlled rock blast near the intersection of S. Lincoln and Yakima Ave
- Date: Wednesday, July 15, 2026
- Time: Between 2 pm and 4 pm
- Impact: Traffic on all approaches to the intersection will be stopped intermittently for approximately 20 minutes while the blasting and safety checks take place.
- Details: Warning sirens will sound approximately 5 minutes and 1 minute prior to the blast. Traffic control personnel will be on-site to halt traffic and manage detours.
What You Should Do:
- Expect delays and plan to use alternate routes if possible.
- Observe all flaggers and obey posted detour signs.
