Ashland Police Officers and Hanover County Sheriff’s Deputies will be conducting Project Lifesaver Training in and around Ashland on Tuesday, July 14 and Thursday, July 16, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
 
Residents may see increased police activity in the areas of the old Henry Clay Elementary School, Thompson Street, Walmart, Washington and Lacy Park and Junction Drive areas. This training exercise will involve officers walking throughout those areas.
 
Project Lifesaver is a search and rescue program that offers law enforcement the ability to locate loved ones and family members who wander due to cognitive disorders by using radio transmitters and receivers.
