INCIDENT: P.C. 273.5(A) - Felony Spousal Abuse
LOCATION: 149000 Block of Del Rey Drive, Big River, CA
SUSPECT(S): Emery Kidd, 48 Years Old, Resident of Big River, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Sunday, July 12, 2026, at approximately 7:37 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to the 149000 block of Del Rey Drive in Big River for a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, deputies learned the suspect, identified as Emery Kidd, had fled the area before they arrived. During the investigation, deputies determined Kidd had assaulted the victim. The victim was treated at a nearby hospital for her injuries. Despite an extensive search of the area, deputies were unable to locate Kidd at that time and subsequently obtained an arrest warrant for his arrest.
On Monday, July 13, 2026, at approximately 8:23 a.m., deputies located Kidd walking in the area of Del Rey Drive and Rio Vista Drive. Deputies conducted a pedestrian stop during which Kidd was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Kidd was also found to have an outstanding warrant for PC 422 - Criminal Threats, H&S 11377 - Possession of a Controlled Substance and PC 22210 - Possess/Mfg/Sale/Etc. a Leaded Cane. Kidd remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department on $85,000.00 bail, awaiting a court hearing.
