Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges.
On July 9th at approximately 12:29 p.m., members of the Safe Streets Task Force were in the 1700 block of West 3rd Street when they observed a male subject engaged in a drug-related activity. Officers made contact with 35-year-old Jamar Roane, who was taken into custody without incident. Officers recovered 22.5 Oxycodone pills and 13 Amphetamine pills. Subsequently, officers conducted a search of Roane’s vehicle and recovered 12.5 Amphetamine pills.
Roane has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver- Two Counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Tier 1) – Two Counts
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was released after posting a $12,000 secured-bail.
