The following is a summary of criminal activity in El Cerrito. It does not include all crimes. It also does not include non-criminal events such as missing persons, traffic collisions, non-criminal deaths, non-criminal disputes, nor many other police activities that do not result in arrest.

The following is a summary of criminal activity in El Cerrito from June 21st to June 27th.

June 21st
Driving Under the Influence – San Pablo Ave/Carlson Blvd:
At 12:24 AM, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver for Driving Under the Influence. The driver was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department. After booking, the driver was issued a citation and released to a sober friend.

Driving Under the Influence – Potrero Ave/S. 55^th Street:
At 1:40 AM, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver for Driving Under the Influence. The driver was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department. After booking, the driver was issued a citation and released to a sober friend.

Driving Under the Influence – San Pablo Ave/El Dorado Ave:
At 3:07 AM, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver for Driving Under the Influence. The driver was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department. After booking, the driver was issued a citation and released to a sober friend.

Warrant Arrest - San Pablo Ave/El Dorado Ave:
During the above incident, officers discovered one of the passengers had an active warrant. The passenger was issued a citation and released at the scene. 
 
June 22nd
Theft by False Pretense – 500 block of Everett Street:
At 10:18 AM, an officer took a telephone report from the victim who sent money to an unidentified suspect for two FIFA World Cup tickets but never received the tickets.

Grand Theft – Lynn Ave/Colusa Ave:
At 12:47 PM, an officer reports the catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle between 10:30 PM on 6/21 and 12:47 PM on 6/22. 

Theft – 10636 San Pablo Ave (24 Hour Fitness):
At 11:25 PM, an officer reports three suspects stole the victim’s bicycle from in front of the business.

June 23rd
Stolen Vehicle - 1100 block of Liberty Street:
At 2:12 AM, an officer reports a suspect stole the victim’s vehicle.

Vandalism – 1500 block of Lexington Ave:
At 7:35 AM, an officer reports an unknown suspect cut the wires on the telephone poles.

Burglary – 11820 San Pablo Ave (Tires Direct):
At 10:07 AM, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the property and stole merchandise.

Brandishing a deadly weapon – 10636 San Pablo Ave (24 Hour Fitness):
At 1:06 PM, an officer reports the victim and suspect were in an argument. The suspect left and came back with a knife. Employees told the suspect to leave and called police. The suspect left prior to police arrival.

Battery/Public Intoxication – 10636 San Pablo Ave (24 Hour Fitness):
At 1:58 PM, an officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of an intoxicated suspect who spat at an employee after refusing to leave. The suspect was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Grand theft – 200 block of Pomona Ave:
At 3:51 PM, an officer reports an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle.

Battery – 5920 Cutting Blvd (Jack in the Box):
At 7:47 PM, an officer reports a customer was upset with the service they received from the employees and threw an object at the employee.

June 24th
Driving Under the Influence – Kearney St/Cutting Blvd:
At 2:20 AM, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver for Driving Under the Influence. After the driver was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department, they were issued a citation and released to a sober friend. 
 
June 25th
Possession of Drug Paraphrenia – San Pablo Ave/MacDonald Ave:
At 12:37 AM, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and located a glass pipe in the possession of the driver. The driver was issued a citation at the scene and released.

June 26th
Shoplift – 6000 El Cerrito Plaza (Marshall’s):
At 9:23 PM, an officer reports the suspect exited the business with unpaid merchandise.

June 27th
