San Mateo, CA – On July 13, 2026, at 9:31 p.m., San Mateo Police Department officers responded to the 2900 block of S. El Camino Real on a report of a physical altercation in which one person had been tased. Upon arrival, the suspect, Mamoon Shehadeh, was detained, and officers contacted multiple people involved in the incident, as well as potential witnesses at the scene. Officers learned that during a reported altercation between known parties over laundry, Shehadeh brandished a Taser and deployed the device, striking an adult male in the stomach with the Taser probes.
Probable cause was ultimately established to arrest Shehadeh for assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm, assault with a stun gun, and brandishing a deadly weapon other than a firearm. After receiving medical clearance at a local hospital related to the altercation, Shehadeh was booked into the San Mateo County Jail on the listed charges.
