INCIDENT: P.C. 664/187- Attempted Murder
LOCATION: 4000 block of Descanso Avenue, Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): Hayden Alexander Marquez, 30-year-old resident of Chino Hills
SUMMARY: On Monday, July 13, 2026, at about 5:00 p.m., deputies from the Chino Hills Sheriff's Station responded to a report of a stabbing in the 4000 block of Descanso Avenue, in Chino Hills. The reporting party advised dispatch a male subject had been stabbed and was bleeding inside a nearby liquor store.
Upon arrival, deputies located the victim inside the business suffering from an apparent stab wound. Deputies immediately rendered medical aid until personnel from the Chino Valley Fire District and emergency medical services arrived. The victim described "Alex" as the individual who stabbed him. The victim was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, where he remains in stable condition. The suspect, identified as Hayden Alexander Marquez, was located near the scene and taken into custody without incident.
Marquez was transported to West Valley Detention Center where he was booked for PC664/187, Attempted Murder.
