Today marks the 12th anniversary of the passing of Waldwick's own Police Officer Christopher Goodell, a true hero whose service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Officer Goodell was a dedicated and compassionate police officer who always placed the safety of others before his own. He gave his all in protecting and serving our community.
He had an extraordinary ability to touch the hearts of everyone around him. Christopher embodied the very best qualities of law enforcement: compassion, respect, dedication, courage, and professionalism. He was more than a police officer. He was our friend.
Officer Goodell wore his badge with pride and honor until the very end. He walked into danger so that others could live in safety.
Today, we remember all that Christopher Goodell gave to our community. We also remember his family, whose strength continues to inspire us. May we never forget his unwavering dedication, courage, sacrifice, and the example he set for all of us.

Those words continue to remind us of Christopher's selfless service. With deep gratitude, we take comfort in knowing that he rests in eternal peace and in a place of honor.
Time changes many things, but it can never erase the memories we cherish or the gratitude we feel. The calendar turns, yet our remembrance remains steadfast. Officer Christopher Goodell will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his family, his fellow officers, and the entire Waldwick community.
