Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help identifying the suspect pictured below, who took a package containing $200 worth of clothing from a victim’s porch on Friday, July 10, 2026.
At approximately 12:10 p.m., the suspect was captured on surveillance video removing the package from the front porch of a home in the 50 block of South Orange Avenue. The suspect, possibly a Black male, has a grey beard and was wearing a dark-colored long-sleeve shirt, black pants, a blue LA Dodgers baseball cap, and white Jordan One sneakers.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
