SUMMARY: On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at approximately 3:54 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Station, along with personnel from the Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response, responded to the intersection of Bear Valley Road and Balsam Avenue, in Victorville, following reports of a two-vehicle traffic collision with injuries.
The preliminary investigation revealed a white Ford Mustang and a red tractor-trailer collided in the number one westbound lane of Bear Valley Road near the intersection of Balsam Avenue.
The driver of the Mustang, a male resident of Phelan, sustained major injuries and was transported to Providence Saint Mary Medical Center before being airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
The front passenger, a male resident of Apple Valley, also sustained major injuries and was transported to Desert Valley Medical Center before being airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center. The rear passenger, a female resident of Pinon Hills, sustained major injuries and was transported to Providence Saint Mary Medical Center. The driver of the tractor-trailer, a male resident of Hesperia, remained at the scene and fully cooperated with investigators.
Deputies assigned to the Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded and assumed the investigation.
Bear Valley Road was closed between Cypress Avenue and Balsam Avenue for several hours while investigators processed the scene. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
