The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southeastern Morris County, including Morristown, until 5:30 PM EDT.
At 4:59 PM, a severe thunderstorm was located over Morristown and moving southeast at 40 mph.
Hazards:
• Wind gusts up to 60 mph
• Quarter-size hail possible
• Potential damage to vehicles, roofs, siding, trees, and power lines
Residents should seek shelter immediately. Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building and avoid windows until the storm passes.
