INCIDENT: Investigation Leads to Recovery of Three Firearms and Arrest of Three 

LOCATION: 20300 block of Rancherias Road, Apple Valley, CA 92307 

SUSPECT(S): Montell Miller, 18-year-old, Resident of Apple Valley 
                        Daireon Harrison,19-year-old, Resident of Barstow
                        Jaycob Brown, 22-year-old, Resident of Apple Valley

VICTIM(S): State of California 


SUMMARY: On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, deputies assigned to the Victorville Station's Gang Impact Team (VCGIT) conducted an investigation into the illegal possession of firearms by several subjects. The investigation ultimately led to the service of a search warrant at a residence in the 20300 block of Rancherias Road in Apple Valley.

With the assistance of personnel from the Apple Valley Station, VCGIT served the search warrant. During the search, deputies recovered three Glock handguns, one of which had been reported stolen out of Irvine. Investigators also discovered that each handgun was equipped with a large-capacity magazine, the possession of which is prohibited under California law.

As a result of the investigation, 18-year-old Montell Miller, a resident of Apple Valley, 19-year-old Daireon Harrison, a resident of Barstow, and 22-year-old Jaycob Brown, a resident of Apple Valley, were arrested for multiple felony weapons-related offenses. All three were booked into the High Desert Detention Center.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department remains committed to proactively investigating the illegal possession of firearms and holding prohibited persons accountable. Through targeted enforcement and intelligence-driven investigations, the Victorville Gang Impact Team continues to remove illegal firearms from our communities, reduce violent crime, and enhance public safety. The recovery of stolen firearms and illegally configured weapons helps prevent future acts of violence and reflects the Department's ongoing commitment to protecting the residents of the High Desert.
