* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Nueces River at Laguna.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding makes low bridges very dangerous to motorists along Highway 55 at Hackberry Creek. The Nueces River at Barksdale, and numerous crossings and low bridges in the headwaters and Camp Wood Creek. Campers downstream should move themselves, vehicles, and equipment from the banks of the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 15.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 AM CDT Thursday was 15.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.6 feet this afternoon. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
