FFWEAX The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Central Pettis County in central Missouri... Northeastern Johnson County in west central Missouri...

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 513 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Sedalia, Warrensburg, Knob Noster, Whiteman Air Force Base, La Monte, Smithton, Whiteman Afb, Hughesville and Sedalia Memorial Arpt.
