Out of an abundance of caution, the Pascua Yaqui Tribe will temporarily shut down Tribal Government operations across the reservation at 4:00 PM, today, Thursday, July 16, 2026, due to an increased potential for Thunderstorms and Flash Flooding.

KEY POINTS
- Flash Flood Watch in effect for portions of Pima, Cochise, Pinal, Graham, Greenlee, and Santa Cruz counties.
- The threat for flash flooding has increased Thursday and Friday as abundant moisture moves into the region.
- Washes and sensitive drainages may rise quickly.
- A persistent monsoon pattern will lead to daily afternoon and evening thunderstorm chances through the next week for southeast Arizona.

- 12 inches of fast-moving water can carry away a small car.
- 18-24 inches of fast moving water can carry away most large SUVs, vans and trucks.
