SUMMARY: On Saturday, June 6, 2026, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Station began investigating concerns regarding embezzlement and fraud.Through investigation, deputies identified the suspect as Maria Alejandra Guardado. During the investigation, deputies determined Guardado had embezzled approximately $300,000 from a business.
On Thursday, July 16, 2026, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Guardado’s vehicle for California Vehicle Code violations. Guardado was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for 118 counts of grand theft of money, 214 counts of defrauding a company account, embezzlement of $950 or more, and driving without a license.
