...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas... Nueces River Below Uvalde affecting Uvalde County.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...Nueces River below Uvalde.

* WHEN...Until this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding nine miles southwest of Uvalde closes the Farm to Market 481 bridge floor. Livestock in the flood plain should be moved to higher ground.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 12.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 12:30 AM CDT Saturday was 14.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early this morning and continue falling to 5.6 feet early Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 13.0 feet on 07/02/2002. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim, or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters, stop, turn around and go another way. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges, dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream, even a small one, on foot.
