The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Monmouth County and the surrounding area, effective until 9:00 pm this evening, Tuesday, July 21st.  While authorities have not yet issued a warning for our area, residents should prepare for the possibility of a potential tornado while we are under the tornado watch condition.  For information on how to prepare for a tornado, you can visit ready.gov/tornadoes for a guide.  For details on the difference between a severe weather watch and a warning, you can visit this FEMA website.

Residents should closely monitor the local National Weather Service website (https://weather.gov/phi) or another trusted weather source for any updates.
