INCIDENT: Weapons Arrest
LOCATION: 22000 Block of Eyota Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Arteicka York, 37-year-old, Resident of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: Investigators from the Apple Valley Station Gang Enforcement Team and detective bureau conducted an investigation related to the unlawful possession of firearms.
On Friday, July 17, 2026, deputies served a search warrant in the 22000 block of Eyota Road, in Apple Valley. During the search, deputies located an unserialized AR-15 style rifle, black handgun, handgun frame, and several high-capacity magazines.
Arteicka York was arrested for PC 29180- Possession of an Un-Serialized Firearm and PC 32310- Possession of High-Capacity Magazines. York was booked at the High Desert Detention Center and was later released from custody after posting bail.
