* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...East Central Pima County in southeastern Arizona...

* WHEN...Until 745 PM MST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 537 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to several thunderstorms, one near Three Points and the other southwest and west of the Tucson International Airport. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen in spots - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sahuarita, Green Valley, Drexel Heights, Three Points, Pascua Pueblo Yaqui Reservation, East Sahuarita, San Xavier Community, Valencia West, Tucson Estates, Summit, Ryan AirField and San Xavier Mission. - This includes the following highways... Interstate 19 between mile markers 42 and 58. Route 86 between mile markers 143 and 167. Route 286 between mile markers 38 and 45. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Country Club Rd at Franco Wash, Santa Clara Ave at El Vado Wash, Mark Rd from Jeffery Rd to Los Reales Rd, Mission Rd from Valencia Rd to San Xavier Rd, Old Vail COnnection Rd at Franco Wash and Black Wash at S Camino de Oeste. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Washes, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
