At 1252 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Cordova, moving south at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Bartlett, Southaven, Collierville, Germantown, Olive Branch, Cordova, Memphis, Lakeland, Arlington, Ellendale, Southeast Memphis, Eads, Lewisburg, Mt Pleasant, Frayser, Piperton, Lenow, Cayce, Cedarview, and Handy Corner. This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 in Tennessee between mile markers 6 and 23. Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 1 and 11. Interstate 240 between mile markers 12 and 20.
