INCIDENT: Narcotics Arrest
LOCATION: 24000 Block of Old Mine Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT: Luis Vega, 72-year-old, Resident of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: Investigators from the Apple Valley Station Gang Enforcement Team and detective bureau conducted an investigation related to the possession of narcotics for sale.
On Friday, July 17, 2026, deputies with the Apple Valley Gang Enforcement Team served a search warrant in the 25000 block of Old Mine Road, Apple Valley. During the search, deputies located a loaded revolver handgun along with approximately 1.4 pounds of Methamphetamine.
Luis Vega was arrested for PC 29800(a)(1)– Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC 30305(a)(1)- Felon in Possession of Ammunition, H&S 11378- Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, and H&S 11370.1(a)- Possession of a Controlled Substance While Armed. Vega was booked at the High Desert Detention Center and was later released from custody after posting bail.
