1. Weapons Arrest (1744) 2300 Block of South Union Street, Park District
Officers contacted a suspect in the area during a theft investigation. A search revealed the suspect was in unlawful possession of firearms. ARRESTED: Patrick Vita, 33, for possession of stolen property, narcotics, and weapon charges.
2. Shooting into a Vehicle (2145) 600 Block of North Madison Street, Civic District
Officers responded to the area on a report of gunfire. They located an unoccupied vehicle that had been struck by gunfire. There were no injuries.
