| The Thousand Oaks Police Department invite our community members to join us for Open House on Thursday, August 13th from 5-7 PM at the Thousand Oaks Police Station located at 2101 E Olsen Road. This event is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie that make our neighborhoods safer. Detectives from TOPD will be providing station tours to community members. We will have representatives and displays from numerous specialized units including motors, volunteers in policing, explorers, SWAT, tactical response team, a helicopter, detectives, command post, K9 Unit, dispatch, human trafficking task force, recruitment, search and rescue, and bomb squad! There will be free food, snacks, and drinks provided for attendees. We will also have a shaved ice truck, live DJ and games. Come test your strength and skill against with our radar throwing challenge! The Thousand Oaks Police Department is committed to maintaining the safety of residents by building community partnerships. We invite you to come out and ask questions, get advice on crime prevention, and meet the deputies who work in our city!
