Haledon Juvenile Curfew Policy
HALEDON JUVENILE CURFEW REMINDER
On behalf of Chief of Police Angelo J. Daniele and Deputy Chief of Police George Guzman, Jr., in cooperation with Mayor Michael Johnson and the Haledon Municipal Council, the Haledon Police Department reminds all residents that Haledon's Juvenile Curfew Ordinance is in effect.
Haledon Curfew Hours:
10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Applies to all persons under the age of 18.
Parents and guardians are responsible for knowing the whereabouts of their children. Juveniles found in violation of the ordinance, as well as parents or guardians, may be subject to a fine in accordance with the Municipal Code of the Borough of Haledon.
The Haledon Police Department encourages families to speak with their children about making safe, responsible decisions and complying with Haledon's curfew requirements.
Our goal is not to issue citations to our children or their parents. Rather, our mission is to help ensure the safety, health, and welfare of our beloved youth. We believe prevention, education, and parental involvement are the most effective tools for protecting our young people.
Questions regarding the Haledon's Juvenile Curfew Ordinance may be directed to Detective/Sergeant Jessica Funes, Community and Youth Services Division, at [email protected].
