1. Resisting Arrest (1143) 400 Block of East Weber Avenue, Civic District
Officers responded to the listed area regarding a welfare check. Upon arrival, officers contacted a subject who refused to exit a bus. After holding the bus for almost one hour, officers placed the subject in handcuffs and attempted to escort her off the bus. The suspect refused to cooperate, and officers used force to remove the suspect from the bus and into custody. ARRESTED: Nicole Wiggins, 35, for trespassing and resisting arrest.
2. Resisting Arrest (1531) 1500 Block of Mosaic Way, Lakeview District
Officers responded to a reported disturbance in the area, and the suspect refused to open the door. A female victim could be heard crying inside and screaming for help. Officers entered the apartment and attempted to separate the suspect from the victim. The suspect pulled away and had to be taken to the ground, and a restraint device was deployed. ARRESTED: Elliot Mejia, 25, for domestic violence, false imprisonment, and resisting arrest.
