Norton Shores Police Department Investigating Multiple Vehicle Break-Ins
NORTON SHORES, Mich. — The Norton Shores Police Department is actively investigating numerous vehicle breaking and entering incidents that occurred throughout the City during the overnight hours of Saturday, July 25, 2026, into the early morning hours of Sunday, July 26, 2026.
The area believed to have been targeted extends from Seminole Road to Forest Park Road, west of Lake Harbor Road.
The Norton Shores Police Department is reminding all residents to take simple precautions to help prevent vehicle-related crimes:
- Always lock your vehicle, even when it is parked in your driveway.
- Remove all valuables from your vehicle or keep them out of sight.
- Report any suspicious activity to law enforcement immediately.
Detectives are asking residents in the affected area to review any home security camera or doorbell camera footage from the overnight hours of
July 25–26, 2026. Even if your vehicle was not broken into, footage showing suspicious individuals or vehicles may provide valuable investigative leads.
