* At 1250 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Hazel Crest, or over Homewood, moving southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
* This dangerous storm will be near... Chicago Heights, Lansing, Harvey, Park Forest, Homewood, Steger, South Holland, Sauk Village, Flossmoor, and Lynwood around 1255 PM CDT. Munster, Dyer, and Crete around 100 PM CDT. Schererville, Highland, Griffith, and St. John around 105 PM CDT. Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include Merrillville, Crown Point, Cedar Lake, Winfield and Lakes of the Four Seasons.
