We remain quiet for now, though a pieces of energy arriving early this afternoon could spark up the first couple of pop up storms. These can turn more scattered to numerous mid to late afternoon, eventually peaking early tonight before turning isolated overnight and eventually tapering in the predawn Wednesday. There remains an elevated risk for flooding issues with tropical moisture in place and a robust area of low pressure moving overhead. Most places likely pick up 1-2" when all is said and done, though there is a concern localized areas pick up 3"+ in a short period of time and cause more significant impacts like overflowing streams/creeks, impassible roads and some water rescues. Along with flooding, be mindful that the environment is also supportive today of isolated tornadoes in some stronger storms this afternoon and into tonight.
