Narrative:
On 07/25/26, patrol deputies from the Camarillo Police Station responded to the 400 block of Daily Drive regarding a domestic battery that had just occurred. The suspect was quickly identified as (S) Gabriel Beserra, a previously convicted felon with an active warrant for a prior domestic violence incident and a history of fleeing from law enforcement and resisting arrest.
 
Detectives from the Camarillo Investigation Bureau, Special Enforcement Unit, and Directed Enforcement Unit assisted with the investigation. At approximately 1220 hours, Beserra was located in the 100 block of E. Calle La Sombra. As deputies attempted to take him into custody, Beserra fled on foot into a neighboring residential area. Following a brief foot pursuit, Beserra was apprehended and taken into custody without further incident.
 
Beserra was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility on charges of 273.5 PC – Spousal Battery Causing injury, 148 PC – Resisting Arrest, 602 PC – Trespassing, and the active warrant with bail set at $200,000.
