Santa Maria Police Department detectives have arrested a Santa Maria man following an investigation into allegations that he arranged to meet with an individual he believed to be a minor for the purpose of engaging in unlawful sexual activity.
On July 28, 2026, detectives arrested 32-year-old Luke Richard-David Rosado of Santa Maria without incident. Rosado was booked into the Santa Barbara County Northern Branch Jail on a felony charge of arranging to meet a minor for the purpose of committing a lewd act. He is currently being held on $100,000 bail.
The investigation remains ongoing. Detectives believe there may be additional victims or individuals who have had similar encounters involving Rosado.
