* At 736 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Mebane, or 8 miles southeast of Graham, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Burlington, Graham, Hillsborough, Pittsboro, Carrboro, and Mebane. This includes the following highways... Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 163 and 165. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 146 and 162, between Mile Markers 259 and 278, and between Mile Markers 290 and 293. Interstate 440 near Mile Marker 1. US 1 between Mile Markers 80 and 101. the Durham Freeway between Mile Markers 2 and 5.
