* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast New Jersey, including the following counties, Bergen, Essex and Passaic.

* WHEN...Until 215 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1104 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Paterson, Passaic, Wayne, Hackensack, Bergenfield, Paramus, Ridgewood, Ramsey, Ridgefield, Fort Lee, Englewood, Hawthorne, Oradell, Fairfield, Norwood, Teterboro, Clifton, Teaneck, Fair Lawn and Garfield. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
