The Simi Valley Police Department would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Simi Valley Crime Stoppers for bringing attention to Armando Valle-Martinez, a 30-year-old Simi Valley resident identified as a prolific offender within the community.
Since May 2026, Valle-Martinez has been arrested seven times by the Simi Valley Police Department on a variety of charges, including possession of narcotics, hot prowl burglary, carrying a dirk or dagger, and theft.
On July 29, 2026, at approximately 9:22 a.m., Valle-Martinez entered Katherine Elementary School, located in the 5400 block of Katherine Street, and requested to use the restroom. While inside, the suspect undressed with the restroom door open, facing an employee’s desk. The suspect fled shortly thereafter, leaving behind narcotics. At the time of the incident, the school was not in session due to summer break, and no students were present on campus.
Officers quickly responded and established a perimeter in the surrounding area. Valle-Martinez was ultimately located and apprehended near Yosemite Avenue and Los Angeles Avenue.
Valle-Martinez was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail on the following charges:
- 647(h) PC – Prowling
- 11395(b)(1) H&S – Possession of a hard drug after two or more prior specified drug convictions
The Ventura County Probation Department was contacted and has taken steps to upgrade Valle-Martinez’s probation status, making it more difficult for him to be released from custody.
