The City of Chewelah and Stevens County Public Works will be performing road maintenance on Thursday, July 30th, in the area north of Lincoln Avenue, west of Stevens Street, and south of Pinebrook Drive.

Crews will be chip sealing the roads by spraying oil and spreading chipped rocks over them.  One week later, the excess rock will be swept away and the County Public Works will return to spray a layer of 'fog seal' over the road to lock in the improvements.

For Thursday, July 30th please make sure that all cars, cans, and any other items are removed at least 10 feet back from the road surface before 6:30 am.
