Gas leak near the intersection of W Sioux and S Iroquois. No current danger. NICOR is aware and actively correcting problem. 
***UPDATE*** The leak has been patched. NICOR crews will remain on scene to complete repairs. There is no danger to the public and the roadway is OPEN (7/29/2026 @ 3:41PM).
The Channahon Fire Protection District, Channahon Police Department, and NICOR are aware of and actively responding to a gas leak near the intersection of W. Sioux Drive and S. Iroquois Drive.
Traffic is being diverted from the area to provide emergency crews and utility personnel with safe access to repair the leak. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes until the scene has been cleared.
