Please be advised that construction work will take place at the main entrance to Watkins Regional Park, located at 301 Watkins Park Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772, from August 3 through August 14, 2026, weather permitting.
As part of a trail improvement project, contractors will excavate the grass hillside near the park entrance to prepare for a new asphalt and concrete trail.
During weekday work hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm), the main park entrance will be reduced to one lane of traffic. Traffic will continue to enter and exit the park under the direction of the on-site traffic control crew.
Please use caution, expect minor delays, and be aware of construction vehicles, heavy equipment, and workers in the area.
