INCIDENT: Sugarloaf Man Arrested For Vandalism and Making Criminal Threats
LOCATION: 100 Block of W. Big Bear Blvd.
SUSPECT(S): Anthony Nett, 54-year-old, Resident of Sugarloaf
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On June 26, 2026, the victim stopped at a local gas station to refuel his vehicle. As the victim exited his vehicle to pay for fuel inside the store, he observed his ex-girlfriend's current boyfriend, later identified as Anthony Nett, arrive at the gas station and exit his vehicle. Nett retrieved a machete from his vehicle, brandished it, and threatened to kill the victim. The victim did not respond to the threats and continued inside the store. When the victim returned to his vehicle, he discovered his rear windshield had been shattered.
On July 7, 2026, deputies obtained and reviewed the surveillance footage from the gas station on the day of the incident. Deputies identified the suspect on the surveillance footage as Anthony Nett and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
On July 26, 2026, at approximately 7:58 am, deputies contacted Nett at his residence and arrested him for vandalism and making criminal threats. Nett was booked into custody at the Big Bear Jail on $100,000 bail.
