Meridian Police Arrest Meridian Man on Animal Cruelty Charges
MERIDIAN- The Meridian Police Department, in partnership with the Idaho Humane Society (Animal Control) arrested a Meridian man following an investigation into multiple reports of animal cruelty.
During the investigation, the Meridian Police Department received reports alleging that Ethan RAMSEY, 31-year-old male of Meridian, had abused and killed multiple cats. Through investigative efforts, including the collection and review of video evidence and physical evidence, patrol officers and detectives were able to identify RAMSEY as the suspect.
Based on the evidence gathered, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for RAMSEY. He was arrested in the 3700 block of Centrepoint Way and booked on three counts of Animal Cruelty. He is being held on a $200,000 bond.
Following his arrest, RAMSEY was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation. After being medically cleared, he was booked into the Ada County Jail.
This remains an active investigation.
