PVEAlerts: Community Alert: Luxury Vehicle Thefts Under Investigation
Palos Verdes Estates Alerts
This information is being provided on behalf of the City of Palos Verdes Estates.
Since the afternoon of Tuesday, July 28, the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department has received four reports of stolen luxury vehicles from the Lunada Bay and Montemalaga areas. The reported vehicles include two Lamborghinis, one BMW, and one Maserati. The thefts occurred on Chelsea Road, Via Zurita, and Via Coronel.
Our Detectives Bureau is actively investigating these thefts. Detectives are aggressively pursuing investigative leads, reviewing surveillance footage, analyzing available evidence, and coordinating with regional law enforcement partners and other available investigative resources. These investigations remain active, and every available lead is being followed.
We are asking our community to remain vigilant and take steps to help reduce the risk of vehicle theft:
• Share this information with neighbors, especially those who own luxury or high value vehicles.
• Never leave keys or key fobs inside your vehicle.
• Park inside a secured garage whenever possible.
• If your vehicle offers GPS or connected vehicle tracking services, ensure they are activated and your subscription is current.
• If you must park outside, park in a well lit area that is covered by security cameras whenever possible.
• If you observe anyone acting suspiciously around parked vehicles, call the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department immediately so officers can respond and investigate.
