Asbury Park has two free community events happening this Saturday, August 1.
Greensbury Park: A Celebration of AP Parks runs from noon to 6pm at Sunset Park. This rescheduled event (postponed due to rain) features live music, food trucks, community activities, a dunk tank, touch-a-truck experiences with Asbury Park Firefighters, Police, and EMTs, children's gardening, and raffles. Family Day at the Beach, the 20th annual event hosted by the Asbury Park Mayor's Wellness Committee and Surfrider Foundation Jersey Shore, runs from noon to 5pm at the 8th Avenue Beach entrance. This free event includes surf lessons, beach games, live music, ocean safety education, and snacks. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The rain date is Sunday, August 2.
