Pen Argyl Borough is notifying residents of an upcoming project being conducted by Pennsylvania American Water. This is not a Borough project.
Beginning within the next week or so, weather permitting, a Pennsylvania American Water contractor will assess water service lines serving approximately 70 properties in the Borough. The work is part of Pennsylvania American Water’s effort to identify lead and certain galvanized service lines that may require replacement.
Property owners selected for testing will be notified directly and should watch for a Pennsylvania American Water door hanger containing specific information about the work.
Crews may perform small test holes, approximately 18 inches by 18 inches, within the public right-of-way. When possible, they may also visually inspect the service line where it enters the home. Work is expected to occur Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Residents should use caution near work areas and remain clear of crews and equipment.
