In effect: Flood Watch issued August 2 at 2:20 PM EDT until August 3 at 11:00 PM
What this means: Conditions are favorable for flooding. A Flood Watch does not mean flooding is happening, but it does mean you should be prepared in case it does.
What to do:
- Stay alert and monitor later forecasts for updates
- Be ready to act quickly if a Flash Flood Warning is issued
- Never drive or walk through flooded roadways. Turn Around, Don't Drown
- Keep phones charged and have an emergency plan ready
