1. RESISTING ARREST (1509) 1600 W FREMONT ST, Civic District
Officers responded to the location on a report of a female waving a hatchet at passing vehicles. Responding officers located the suspect and ordered her to drop the hatchet. The suspect dropped the hatchet and attempted to flee on foot. The suspect was taken to the ground and into custody. ARRESTED: Alexandria Sump, 28, for resisting arrest, public intoxication, and an outstanding warrant.
2. PERSON SHOT (1920) SHIMIZU DR / RYDE AV, Civic District
The male victim, 18, was involved in a verbal altercation with a female subject, when the known male suspect shot the victim. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening injuries. SUSPECT: Black male adult.
3. RESISTING ARREST (2150) 2600 S TURNPIKE RD, Seaport District
Officers investigated a traffic collision and detained the suspect for DUI. While in the back seat of a patrol unit, the suspect slipped out of her handcuffs and kicked the car windows. The suspect was placed in a SAFE Wrap device to prevent her from injuring herself or damaging the patrol unit. ARRESTED: Norma Valencia-Villanueva, 40, for DUI and resisting arrest.
4. PERSON STABBED (2332) 2100 FONTANA AV, Civic District
Officers responded to the area on a report of a disturbance involving the the suspect chasing the 18-year-old victim. The suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim in the back. Officers ordered the suspect to drop the knife, but she refused. One officer deployed their taser to take the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Catalina Aguilar, 25, for attempted homicide and resisting arrest.
