Reminder: lock your vehicles and remove all keys and valuables!
The Albany Police Department continues to see many incidents of thefts from motor vehicles, as well as motor vehicle thefts, especially in the Buckingham Pond neighborhood.
To help prevent thefts:
- Always lock your vehicle.
- Close all windows.
- Remove and secure all valuables.
- NEVER leave your vehicle running unattended.
- Don’t leave spare keys in or around your vehicle.
- Be sure to memorize the make, model, color and plate number of your vehicle to assist the police in the event of a theft.
