NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
TUESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2026
On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Union City's neighborhoods are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the "43rd Annual NATIONAL NIGHT OUT" (NNO 2026) to promote police-community partnerships; crime, drug, and violence prevention; safety; and neighborhood unity.
National Night Out, sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), and co-sponsored locally by UCPD, will involve over 16,500 communities from all 50 states, US territories, Canadian cities, and military bases around the world. From 4 PM to 8 PM on August 5th, the Union City Police Department encourages residents in neighborhoods throughout Union City to lock their doors and show their support for this event by spending the evening outside with their neighbors, community groups, and public safety officers.

The Union City Police Department is excited to announce its 2026 National Night Out celebration, set to take place at a vibrant new location designed to bring the community together for an unforgettable evening of connection, celebration, and family-friendly fun.
Guests will enjoy delicious food and family-friendly activities, including the official “Block Party BBQ” from Texas Roadhouse and the refreshing “Block Party Refresher” iced beverage from Starbucks.
Additional food and treats will be available at special event pricing from vendors such as Don Julio’s Taqueria, and Kona Ice of North Fremont. Attendees can also enjoy complimentary samples from participating product vendors throughout the event.
